Protect IDEA: A Town Hall to Protect Children with Disabilities

Image of a teacher sitting with a group of seated young students

In light of recent events in the U.S. Department of Education and actions that threaten the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the rights of more than 8 million children with disabilities, CEC and several partner organizations hosted a virtual Town Hall for parents, teachers, and advocates for children with disabilities.

Speakers shared insights about recent events and discussed actions you can take.

Together, we will use our collective voice to compel the Administration to protect children with disabilities and urge Congress to help protect IDEA, whose sole purpose is to ensure equitable access and opportunity to education for every child with a disability.

Thank you to all who attended! You can view the town hall recording here.
